OshoKundalini meditation is a one-hour shaking and dancing practice that helps awaken the sleeping Kundalini energy within the body. Kundalini is what Hindus refer to as the “sleeping goddess” or “serpent power” that is inside the human physique. It is believed to be coiled at the base of the spine since birth.
OshoKundalini meditation is best done at sunset or in the late afternoon. Allowing yourself to shake and dance enables you to release the tensions and blocks in the body and bring the flow of positive energy into your being. This leads to bliss and joy!
There are many benefits to practising OshoKundalini meditation:
Stress management
OshoKundalini meditation has four stages:
The first two immerses you in shaking and dancing to ‘melt away’ blocks in the body and in your being. The last two stages are done by sitting still with music and then lying down in silence. These stages enable the energy to flow vertically and move upward, creating deep relaxation and stillness.
The practice is a great way to unwind and let go at the end of the day. That’s the reason why Kundalini meditation is highly effective at sunset or late afternoon. If you are experiencing stressful situations at work, doing this meditation will help you cope and start afresh the next day.
Reduce the likelihood of illnesses
Illnesses appear when the body energy centre or chakra are blocked. One of the ways to unblock the energies is thrukundalini meditation. By awakening your Kundalini energy, you are able to boost your Chakras as well. By boosting all these energies, you can re-balance the flow and cure certain illnesses. Coupled with Osho’s Dynamic Meditation and other active meditations, you can certainly strengthen your physical body and reduce the likelihood of getting a disease.
Maintain emotional health
One of the benefits of awakening your Kundalini energy is being able to balance your emotions. As you find the joy of meditation, all the negative emotions that make you weak; like fear, greed, jealousy, and insecurity are reduced or eliminated. How? By connecting you to the world around you. Did you know that these negative emotions that you are feeling arise when you feel disconnected from existence, people, and nature? Through the regular practice of meditation, you are building yourself a bridge to them and dissolve all those emotions that overcome you.
