If you are experiencing anxiety you are not alone. Pre- 2020, one in four individuals suffered from some type of anxiety and with the way this year has unfolded this number is most likely much higher now. There is the virus and its huge impact on all aspects of our lives, the social unrest/violence, the upcoming election, the fires and heat waves, the onslaught on our environment, etc. So if you are feeling anxious just now you are not alone. What to do?
Kundalini Yoga has been proven to alleviate anxiety. A study was just published in Psychology Today that documented that this form of yoga is equally as effective as cognitive behavioral therapy for alleviating the symptoms of severe anxiety and helping to change people’s lives as a result by using simple breathwork techniques and yoga sequences.
Join Deva Arani, Saturday, September 26,, for a Zoom Kundalini Yoga and Breathwork class to explore these powerful anxiety relief tools. In this Zoom class she will introduce you to a simple warmup series of movements and breathwork to get your stuck energy flowing, a breathwork sequence designed to calm the nervous system and halt negative, worrying thought patterns, a simple/easy but effective yoga kriya designed to help you stay centered, and a breathwork meditation to increase self-confidence and release self-doubt. She will also provide a few three-minute breathwork tools that you can use on the go to alleviate anxiety as needed.
